Dr Mark Wotherspoon is a general dental practitioner who has founded a private mobile dental practice to serve the needs of the community right where some members most needed it- at their home. Dr Mark explains how he found his way into his dental career and how, through passion, experience and opportunities,  the ‘Dentist To Your Door’ concept was birthed.

His mobile dental service caters to the needs of clients who cannot otherwise attend regular dental clinics for their dental care. Dr Wotherspoon has a unique and practical approach with peppered with personal experience and provides an insight into the provision of appropriate oral health care in this vulnerable population base, and the implications with systemic health and the importance of maintaining patients dignity for the client for their sake and on behalf of their families. In this episode, we explore the challenges of remote dental care and the role that tele-dentistry can play in helping to overcome some problems.
